The 123rd episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat was aired on Sunday (29 June). The program, which was presented in 22 languages, started by PM Modi with discussion on Yoga Day. He said that International Yoga Day is constantly becoming grand. The PM referred to the sum of the disabled in Telangana to the sum of soldiers in Kashmir. The PM, while talking about the people who helped the pilgrims, mentioned the Kailash Parvat and said that the Amarnath Yatra is starting from July 3. The PM greeted all the people going on pilgrimage and the people who helped them.

The International Labor Organization and World Health Organization have praised India’s achievements. Eye disease tracoma was common in the country at one time. Due to not getting treatment, people used to become blind, but the Government of India resolved to end it. Now the World Health Organization has declared India as trachoma free. The World Swathya Organization has also praised that India has eliminated the disease as well as ending its causes.

64 percent people of India benefits of social security schemes

The International Labor Organization has said in one of its reports that 64 percent of people in India are getting the benefit of some social scheme. By 2014, this figure was extremely low, but now it has improved. It is a matter of pride for India. PM Modi in his address also mentioned the Amarnath Yatra and Jagannath Rath Yatra.

Criticism of emergency time

Recalling the time of the Emergency, PM Modi said that the freedom of expression was abolished at the time of emergency. People were tortured, but the people of India did not lose and after the emergency ended, the people who had lost it lost the election. The PM said that we should remember the people opposing the Emergency. This gives us the energy to preserve our constitution. In his address, the PM also spoke about the football tournament of Borolland, which includes thousands of teams. Borolland was once known for conflict, but now people here have also joined the mainstream and are making their identity out of Assam.

Discussion of Ari Silk

Talking about the Ari Silk of Meghalaya, it said that this silk heats in winter and cools in summer. It has recently received the GI tag. Its special thing is that silkworms are not killed to make it. PM Modi appealed to all the countrymen to try this silk clothes once. Along with this, he said that all customers should buy local goods and all shopkeepers should sell local goods. Referring to Kalburgi’s bread and Suma Uike of Madhya Pradesh, the PM said that such women are changing the fate of themselves with their efforts.
