Also told why he also turned down a deal of 125 crore rupees and has decided to limit the release of his film only to theaters.
Why the deal of 125 crore rupees rejected
Aamir Khan said that he also refused a hefty amount of 60 and 125 crores rupees and did not agree to release his film on OTT. Aamir Khan explains, ‘I am against the OTT release of the film. I am a big logist of theaters, where I am sitting today, only because of theaters. I can’t bend my back from theaters. Today is the time, we have an ax on our feet. We have made a small window. ‘ Aamir Khan, while explaining his talk with an example, picked up a glass and said, ‘I will tell you that you should buy this glass from me. But if you do not buy, then I will leave it at your house after 8 weeks, so why will you buy it. The same is happening in films. If you come to see our movies, if you do not come, we will come to your house. This helps that people say that come, brother, why should we come to the theater at home. This will end the entire business of theaters. It is very sad, we have grown up watching movies in all theaters. There is a magic of the cinema, it is dark. You sit with 300-400 people and watch the film, laugh and cry together. If you do not like the film, then everyone abuses together. I believe that the film should be seen in the cinema.
No problem if you release OTT after 6 months: Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan said that he has turned down the OTT deal. However, Aamir Khan says, ‘I have rejected all OTT offers. Although I told him that after 6 months, put it on OTT, I have no problem. But no deal has been made so far and the film will be released in theaters. I also want to earn money with hard work. But I find it wrong to release the film immediately on OTT and guilt is that I am betraying theaters. I am not at all practical, but I am confident that the hard work we have done and have invested that it will come out of the theater.
