14 crore gold, 5 lakh cash looted from bank: incident in 15 minutes in Jabalpur

Armed miscreants looted the bank at 11 am on Monday morning in Khitaula area, 50 km from Jabalpur. The robbers threatened the bank employees with a cut. Then in 15 minutes, 14 kg 800 grams of gold and 5 lakh 70 thousand rupees escaped.

The estimated price of looted gold has been estimated at more than 14 and a half crores. Police has blocked the district. Katni, Mandla, Dindori police including the entire Jabalpur have been alerted.

According to the Jabalpur police, the incident is from the Small Finance Bank. Here six youths came riding on three bikes. Arrived inside the bank and reached inside the bank one by one. The bank kept watching the working of employees for some time. Then took out the katta and threatened the officers and employees. They were repeatedly threatening to shoot. When the robbers exited the bank, the authorities played a danger siren.

Bank opened between 8 am and 9 am
The police investigation so far has revealed that the Isaf Small Finance Bank works to give loan by mortgaging gold. The bank opening time is 10.30 am, but due to the festival it is opening between 8 and 9 am for the last few days. The security guards were also not stationed at the time of the incident. 4 crooks are seen in CCTV. However, the bank staff claimed to be 6 miscreants in front of the police.

Rogues run in different directions
CSP Bhagat Singh Varhria said that the police have questioned the bank and the people present nearby. He said that after exiting the bank, the robbers have run away separately. The police are scrutinizing footage of CCTV cameras installed in and around the bank.

As soon as the information was received, DIG Atul Singh, SP Sampat Upadhyay, Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma reached the spot. The robbers are being searched with police dog squad and finger print experts around Khitaula, Sihora.

Robbers wore helmets, were cut in hand
Bank officials told the police during interrogation that 6 staff members, including the manager, were in the bank at the time of the incident. The robbers entered the bank wearing a helmet, so that no one could recognize their face. All the accused were carrying katta in hand.
