After the horrific road accident on the last day of 2022, Rishabh Pant not only won the battle of life, but also set an example by returning to the cricket field. This story is before IPL 2023. Due to which he could not play in IPL 2023. He returned from IPL 2024.

Rishabh Pant had a car accident on 31 December 2022, in which almost all the major ligaments of his knees- ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL were badly damaged. After this serious injury, Pant had to undergo several surgery and then rehabilitated for about 14 months at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

The BCCI had also released a video about Rishabh Pant’s fitness, in which NCA physiotherapist Dhananjay Kaushik told how delicate Pant’s condition was. He said, “There was no ligament left that was fine, but if a player could return from this situation, he could have been Rishabh Pant. His will and positive thinking played the biggest role in bringing him back.”
