Kathmandu, 16 October (HS). Fifteen political parties and civil leaders, including the opposition Maoist party in Nepal, have condemned Israel’s attacks on Palestine and Lebanon and also urged the government to vote in favor of the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
CPN (Masal) General Secretary Mohan Vikram Singh, CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Dev Gurung, United Socialist General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal, Citizen Movement’s Sanjeev Upreti, social researcher Meena Paudel and 15 people have signed and issued a joint statement.
The joint statement issued on Wednesday said that Israel’s attack is the largest ethnic massacre of the 21st century. The statement strongly condemned Israel’s attack, calling it state-planned violence. In this statement, a demand has also been made to stop Israel’s attack. He has also drawn the attention of the government to express the country’s opinion in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people against this violence. The statement said the government should vote against Israel and in favor of Lebanon and Palestine in the United Nations.
In the joint statement, Nepali citizens have been asked not to go to Israel, Gaza and Lebanon. The government has also been appealed to take necessary steps to protect the lives of Nepalese in Israel and Lebanon. The statement said millions of local people have been displaced from Palestinian lands due to the conflict. The Nepali community living in these countries has been appealed to the government not to go to the conflict affected areas and to rescue and bring back those who have gone.
He expressed concern that Israel has now moved to attack Lebanon under the pretext of Hezbollah’s attack and will then push the entire Middle East, including Iran, into conflict. They allege that the Jewish government of Israel, with the instigation and support of the United States, is forcibly taking away Palestinian land, compacting it, and systematically displacing the Palestinian people from their own land, subjecting them to severe oppression.
