There are many fast bowlers in Indian cricket, but there are very few bowlers who can bowl in the range of 145-150 consecutively and Umran Malik and Mayank Yadav are some names that have been doing this but now a 17-year-old boy has won everyone’s heart at his own pace. Vellore -born 17 -year -old fast bowler RD Pranab Raghavendra has come into the limelight due to his speed.

According to the report of the Indian Express, the right-handed fast bowler has recently bowled at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru of the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) at a speed of 147.3 kilometers per hour, the fastest by any Indian under-19 cricketer. The interesting thing is that Pranav, who is a fast bowler today, started as a runner.

Pranav was excellent in the 100 meter race, but later he started playing cricket. His parents were worried after seeing her brother is isolated after her brother’s birth and a doctor advised her to enroll in a team game. Since then, he wants to bowl as fast as possible. However, he already understands the importance of accuracy and fitness.

Pranav said during a conversation with a newspaper, “I like speed and I want to bowl fast. When you scare the batsmen with a bouncer and put a ball with a hard length on their gloves, it always likes it. To continue doing this, I have to work on many aspects including accurateness, that is why I do not keep an eye on the speed gun. For this, I have to take care of myself by doing the right things. Whether it is a skillset training or a fitness drill or recovery.

Pranav has already worked under Australian veteran fast bowler Glenn McGrath, where he impressed by throwing a ball at a speed of 139 kmph at the age of 16. People close to him believe that they have the ability to throw balls at a speed of 150 kmph in the coming months. MRF Pace Foundation’s head coach M Senthalnathan said in the report, “The fast pace has always been his strength. When I first saw him, he was bowling at a speed of 130 (km per hour), but now, in only two years, he is bowling at a speed of 135-145 km per hour. The speed is about the speed for them and now, they are self-sufficient. Still in the development phase, he can also add some extra yards to his age, but he will already have to be raised and protected it.
