Pune : While there is a doubt whether the environment in the state is safe for women or not, the rate of violence against women is increasing in Pune, the home of education, for the past few days. It has come to light that a 17-year-old minor girl, who had come to Pune from Chhattisgarh with her boyfriend, was raped by a Railway Security Force (RPF) jawan. Shockingly, the RPF jawan kept the girl for five days. The Lohmarg police registered a case and arrested another accused along with the RPF personnel. According to the information received, the victim was living with her family in the state of Chhattisgarh and is studying in 10th standard. A friend of the victim named Leeladhar Thakur told her that I love you a lot and pretended to go to Pune and get married. On September 12, the victim reached Pune along with Leeladhar Thakur. As soon as they reached the Pune railway station, three persons approached the duo and took them to the police.
Accused Anil Pawar was in police uniform. He kept the victim girl and Leeladhar Thakur sitting for a long time. Anil Pawar then locked the victim girl and Thakur in a room in Railway Colony and demanded money. Anil Pawar then took the victim to a separate room and raped her there. The next day accused number two Kamlesh Tiwari sexually assaulted the victim girl by her work sister. Leeladhar Thakur was abandoned by both the accused, but both were raping the victim girl whenever they got an opportunity.
Meanwhile, the victim girl’s father reached Pune along with the Chhattisgarh police. They rescued the girl. After taking her back, the girl narrated the incident to the Chhattisgarh police. Also filed a police complaint. After this, the police arrested RPF jawan Anil Pawar and Kamlesh Tiwari, an employee of Siddharth Multipurpose Society. They are also conducting further investigation in this matter.
