Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh is strict on miscreants. This is the reason why two encounters took place in one day. The miscreants have been arrested after encounters in Lakhimpuri Kheri and Ghaziabad. 4 miscreants have been arrested in both the encounters. These miscreants had opened fire on the police, after which two miscreants were injured in retaliation. Weapons have been recovered from the miscreants.

Lakhimpur Kheri’s West Lakhimpur Kheri ASP Naipal Singh said that the police had received information that three suspicious persons were standing with a motorcycle in Mohammadi area and were planning to do something. The SHO reached the spot with his team and as soon as they reached, the miscreants opened fire on them. In retaliation, one miscreant was shot, while the remaining two miscreants were caught by the police. Two pistols and cartridges were recovered from them and a jewelery which was looted last night was recovered. He said that the injured has been sent to the hospital for treatment and further action is being taken.

Arrested after encounter in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad Police has arrested the miscreants in the case of robbery and chain snatching after an encounter. Sahibabad ACP Rajneesh Kumar Upadhyay said that checking was being done in Surya Nagar area. Meanwhile, when a scooty rider was signaled to stop, he started running away at high speed on the scooty. When the police team chased him, his scooter slipped and fell on the Rampuri railway line and he fired at the police team to save himself. In retaliation, the miscreant was shot and injured. During interrogation, he revealed his name as Jatin and resident of Sundernagari, Delhi. In the past, one and a half dozen cases have been registered against him and action has also been taken under the Gangster Act. Further interrogation is being done and the injured has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
