2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire:The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Dezire has been officially revealed. Ahead of the price announcement on November 11, here’s all you need to know about the new Dezire:

Goa: Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday officially revealed the fourth generation Dezire in the market, which is scheduled to be launched on November 11. Changes have been made in the design, features, engine and safety of the new Dezire.

The design is fresh and has many new elements. The black grille is bigger and wider than before and has a piano black strip at the top. The crystalline LED headlights and fog lamp housings are also new. The top trims roll on 15-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. The Dzire will be offered in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The roof line has also been reshaped and strong character lines run along the sides. The LED tail lamps have also been revised and have the tri-arrow design previously seen in many other cars. A chrome strip connects the tail lamps and the overall rear profile is more upright than before. In dimensions, the Dezire is largely similar to its predecessor, with an increase of 10 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,450 mm.

The cabin has been extensively updated. The seat fabric is finished in beige colour. The dashboard is borrowed from the new Swift, with a faux wood panel in the middle. In terms of features, the range-topping trim of the Swift will get a sunroof, 9-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, keyless entry, cruise control, a 4.2-inch MID on the driver’s display, ArcGIS stereo system. Automatic climate control and auto folding ORVMs. There are dedicated USB charging points, AC vents, adjustable headrests and an armrest for rear seat passengers. The new Dezire does not have auto-dimming IRVM, armrest, leatherette and powered seats.

Under the hood is the new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder K12N engine that produces 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The Idle Start-Stop (ISS) system is standard on all trims. CNG variant will also be introduced with the new Dezire. MSIL says the Dezire is 6% more aerodynamic than its predecessor and the claimed fuel efficiency figures are: MT: 24.7 kmpl and CNG: 33.7 km/kg

In terms of safety, Desire is a better package. Standard fitment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD and hill assist assist. Features like 360-degree camera and reverse parking sensors are options.
