28 years of film Pardes complete, Mahima Chaudhary was not the actress of Subhash Ghai’s first choice

There are some films at the box office, whose charisma remains as it has passed even after years. ‘Pardes’ has been a similar box office film. The release of this film has completed 28 years. The film was directed by Subhash Ghai.

In the past, Subhash Ghai shared a very beautiful interview through his handle, in which he presented all the squeezes to select his characters. He had said, I am sharing my real experience of casting my stars in my film Pardes, released on 8 August 1997.

Subhash Ghai, who gave beautiful films like Pardes, Ram Lakhan, Hero, Karz, Taal, Apna Sapna Money, Karma and Om Shanti Om, shared her real experiences of casting the characters in the film during the interview. Subhash Ghai says that being a writer and director, my first focus is on characterization. These characters tell the story beautifully.

He had said, writing a good story is very difficult. It is more difficult to write screenplays. And even more difficult to give color to the characters. I am glad that the film is still liked with the same shock. There is a principle of writing the story to write the character and its story first, after which the stars should be seen fit into it. I never wrote the character after seeing the star. First I judge myself whether the star is fit in a particular character or a new waist, only then I finalize it.

Subhash Ghai had said, “Talk about Arjun Sagar, the main character of the film Pardes, the character has been played by Shahrukh Khan.” When I called Shahrukh for its cast, I said the same thing to him, that you do not have to get into this film as Shahrukh. Your heart -hearted bride has been a very hit and your romantic character has been liked by everyone. Whenever you look at a girl on the screen for the first time, you really feel as if you have fallen in love with her. But my story is something in which you have to save this feeling with love till the last, otherwise my story will be ruined.

In such a situation, Shah Rukh had to work very hard to bring himself out of Shah Rukh Khan and it is a special thing that he too. The accessories of this character were something that showed him mature despite being modern. In such a situation, I advised her to wear trousers instead of jeans, who made magic in the film somewhere. I think Shah Rukh’s performance in this film was different from all his other films.

Madhuri Dixit was first selected for Ganga

Subhash Ghai said, “The other main character of the story, the Ganges, which has been played by Mahima Chaudhary, was earlier to take Madhuri. When Madhuri heard this script, she liked it very much. The team also wished that Madhuri be signed for this role.

But Madhuri had become a very big star by the time of this film. And the character who was from Kusum was a girl from a small village, who witnessed dreams after seeing the airplane from above her head that she also has to go to America sitting in an airplane, and should also get married there. I wanted innocence in this character, which I could not put through stars. Therefore, I signed Mahima Chaudhary as a new waist, so that newness emerged in this character.

Subhai Ghai told that when I interviewed Mahima Chaudhary, she used to laugh at something special. Apart from this, the love I wanted in this character used to spill into his eyes, because his eyes are very beautiful and apart from that his height was small.

All three of these things were common in Mahima Chaudhary, which I wanted for this character of the story. The girl should be very cool, laugh openly and should be talking to the eyes, Mahima Chaudhary worked very closely at all these points, and the special thing is that she also received the Filmfare Award for this.

The songs of the film also became the first choice
