Kangra Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Ratan said that a team of Panchrukhi police station had received secret information. Based on this information, the police searched a vehicle and recovered 102 grams of charas from 2 Russian citizens including a woman aboard it. Both were taken into custody and a case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act. Also, his vehicle was also confiscated.
A man arrested from Padol Road
In another incident, the patrol team of Baijnath Police Station arrested Vishal Kumar, a resident of Padol Road, Baijnath. 78.30 grams of charas was recovered from Vishal. Action has also been taken against him under the NDPS Act. SP Ashok Ratan said, ‘We will continue strict action against drug smugglers and illicit liquor supplements. There is an appeal to the public to inform the police about such activities. The identity of those who give information will be kept completely confidential.
