Bengaluru. The Belagavi administration has banned three ministers and one MP from Maharashtra from entering this border district. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara has warned them that if they indulge in activities or give statements against Karnataka or Kannada, legal action will be taken against them.

Strict vigil in Maharashtra border area
We have sensitized the police in the Maharashtra border area, be it Belagavi or Bidar, Parameshwara told reporters in Bengaluru. We have already deployed Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) platoons at places where disturbances are known to have broken out.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s meeting
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that our government will take all necessary measures for the safety of the people of the state and Kannadigas in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has held a meeting with the Home Minister and senior police officers and instructed them to remain alert.
