All institutions have to upload their reports on the Delhi Health Portal daily. Advisory comes at a time when Corona cases are increasing in countries like Pakistan, China, Thailand and Singapore.
According to the Indian Sars-Cov-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), there have been four cases of another LF.7 types of NB.1.8.1 of Kovid-19 in India. This variant is visible in the increasing cases of China and Asia.
WHO has not considered them worrying but has categraged them as a variant kept under surveillance. However, spike protein mutations such as A435S, V445H, and T478i of NB.1.8.1 spread faster than other variants. They do not affect the immunity against Kovid.
JN.1 variant is the most common in India. This variant is found in more than half of the samples in testing. This is followed by cases of BA.2 (26 percent) and Omikron Sabalines (20 percent) variants.
