England vs West Indies 3rd ODI Highlights: England defeated West Indies by 7 wickets according to the Duckworth Lewis rule in the third and last ODI played at Kennington Oval, London. With this, the hosts made a clean sweep 3–0 to the West Indies.

Let us know that due to the West Indies team getting stuck in traffic, the match started with a delay of 30 minutes from the scheduled time and due to rain disturbance, the number of overs was reduced to 40 overs per shift.

After getting the first batting invitation, the West Indies started poorly and 3 wickets, including captain Shai Hope, fell until a total score of 28 runs. After this Sherfen Rutherford took one end and played a restrained innings of 70 runs in 71 balls. At the same time, Gudkesh Moti, who came out to bat at number eight, took a brilliant partnership of 91 runs with the ninth number Aljari Joseph and brought the West Indies to a respectable score. Moti scored 63 runs in 54 balls and Joseph scored 41 runs in 29 balls. Due to which the West Indies scored 251 runs at the loss of 9 wickets.

In bowling for England, Adil Rashid took 3 wickets, Saqib Mahmood, Bridan Cars and Matthew Pots took 2–2 wickets.

According to the Duckworth Lewis rule, England got a target of 246 runs to win. England’s start was a bang and Jamie Smith added 93 runs in 7 overs for the first wicket with Bain Docket. Smith scored 64 runs in 28 balls, scoring his first half -century in the series. At the same time, Docket scored 58 runs in 46 balls.

In the middle order, Joe Root scored 44 runs in 49 balls, Jose Butler scored an unbeaten 41 in 20 balls and captain Harry Brook scored 26 not out in 36 balls. Due to which England won by losing 3 wickets in 29.4 overs.

Gudkesh Moti, Aljari Joseph and Roston Chase took 1–1 wickets for the West Indies.

Jamie Smith was the Player of the Match for her brilliant innings, while Joe Root was adjudged the Player of the Series.
