42 months ban ends, Test cricketer returns in 39 years; Emotional, knowing the fixing amount, you will get angry
Brendan Taylor Return after 42 Months Ban:
Cricketers often have to face ban to do wrong. Sometimes this ban is a lifetime and sometimes for a few years. Similarly, a new chapter has been written in Zimbabwe Cricket. The team’s veteran wicketkeeper batsman Brendan Taylor has returned after 42 months.
39 -year -old Taylor’s return can prove to be very beneficial for the Zimbabwe cricket team. These days, the second and last Test of the 2 -match Test series being played between Zimbabwe and New Zealand continues. Taylor returned through the second test. It was already announced that Taylor would be part of the second Test against New Zealand from August 7.
Why was it banned?
Let me tell you that Taylor was banned for three and a half years because an Indian businessman gave him 15,000 US dollars for international match fixing on a tour of India in 2019. Taylor took this amount. Apart from this, the player of Zimbabwe was also told that he could also be given an amount of 35,000 for fixing in further matches.
Then Taylor informed the ICC’s Anti Corruption Unit after about 6 months i.e. in March 2020. Apart from this, Taylor also failed in dope test. Then in 2022, the ICC banned the Zimbabwe player for three and a half years. Now their ban is complete.
Brendan Taylor became emotional after the ban is over
Talking about the return after the ban, Brendon Taylor said, “Many days have passed like hell. It was a very difficult time. I could not get up from bed in 3 years ago, but today I am doing the same again, which I like the best.”
