Where was the center of earthquake?
The earthquake in Panama took place on Monday 14 July 2025 at 10.46 pm. The intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was measured 6.2 and its center was 40 km below the Earth south of Panama. According to officials, the earthquake on the Pacific coast of Panama has not yet reported any casualty or any loss.
Is there any danger of tsunami?
The tremors of this earthquake were felt in Chiriku and surrounding areas of western Panama. These areas are often known for seismic activities. Local officials have stated that there is no threat of tsunami due to earthquake. Panama’s Civil Protection Agency has said to monitor the situation. However, he has informed that the infrastructure has not received immediate information about any loss.
