7 coaches separated from goods train on half way, engine returned after 1 hour, read the case
7 coaches separated from goods train in Odisha.
A strange incident occurred on Monday in Balasore district of Odisha. Here, 7 coaches of a coal -laden goods train coming from Bhadrak towards Baleshwar suddenly separated from the moving train. The entire incident occurred near Markona railway station. An hour after the incident, the engine of the train had to return and the separated coaches had to be associated with it back. Let’s know about this whole incident.
What is the whole matter?
Actually, coal -laden freight train was going towards Baleshwar. Just then, near Mercona station, suddenly 7 coaches behind the train separated and stayed on the track. The engine of the train went ahead without these separated coaches. Railway employees and local people present there were also surprised to see this scene. The most relief is that no one was injured in this incident and there was no loss.
How was the situation handled?
Shortly after the separation of the coaches, the railway employees swung into action and the situation was handled. The engine of the train returned within about 1 hour, the coaches were re -added and the goods train proceeded towards its fixed route. The entire process of stopping the train and re -joining was done with great restraint and vigilance.
What was found in the investigation of the incident?
Initial investigation seems to have seen a technical fault in the coupling system connecting the coaches, due to which the coaches were separated. Such incidents are very rare, but it shows how important the freight trains are tested and care from time to time. Due to the strong action of railway employees, the train services were not affected much on this route. There was no need to stop or divert any passenger train. (Report: Shubham Kumar)
