7 people stranded in the flood in Rajasthan were saved: Ganga water in Varanasi
Seven people, including three children, were trapped in flood in a van in Rajsamand, Rajasthan. Some people who came out of the van were trapped on the tree in an attempt to come to the shore. All were rescued after a rescue of about 2 hours.
Ganga is in spate in Varanasi. The water level of the river is rising 1 cm every hour. Apart from this, the Varuna River is also in spate. About 30 thousand houses have started preparations for migration before flood waters.
In Bihar, 17 people died due to lightning in the last 24 hours. The maximum 5 deaths occurred in Nalanda. 4 people lost their lives in Vaishali, 2-2 people.
At the same time, 110 people have died so far in rain -related accidents in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, government and private assets worth Rs 1200 crore have been damaged.
The Amarnath Yatra has been resumed on Friday after a day’s break. The journey was stopped after heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir for the last few days and landslide on Baltal route on 16 July.
Landslide due to heavy rains in Himachal, NH-707 closed, flood warning in 9 districts
Himachal Pradesh received heavy rains on Thursday. NH-707 blocks were blocked due to landslides in Lohra area of Sirmaur. The Meteorological Department has warned of a sudden flood threat in some parts of 9 districts.
The state is struggling with heavy rains, due to which landslides have occurred in many places and suddenly flooded. Since June 20, the state has suffered a loss of Rs 1,220 crore. 170 roads including NH are still closed.
Sources said that the highway has been closed for more than 30 hours and has not yet been restored for the movement of vehicles, as the debris falling from the mountain is giving problems in cleaning the road.
In this monsoon, Himachal Pradesh has been flooded 31 times so far. There were incidents of cloudburst at 22 places. While landslides have occurred in 19 places.
