Central Pada: A tragic accident has come to light in Ekmania village of Aul region of Kendrapada district of Odisha. Here 73 buffaloes of three families drowned while crossing the river. After the incident, there has been a stir in the entire village and people are raising various questions on it.
According to the information, three people of the village, Ganesh Das, Jagannath Das and Pagla Bishwal, took around 90 buffaloes like Rose to graze their buffaloes. At the time of the return, when the buffaloes were crossing the Gulia river, suddenly the flow of the river intensified. The buffaloes could not move forward due to the strong current and started drowning one after the other. On seeing this, 73 buffaloes lost their lives.
The villagers expressed this apprehension
After this incident, many types of doubts have also arisen among the villagers. The death of so many buffaloes simultaneously does not seem normal to people. Some people believe that the river water may have become poisonous.
The villagers also suspect that a large amount of pesticides are used for shrimp and fisheries in a nearby area. It may be that the same insecticide has been found in water and when the buffaloes drank water, they fell victim to poison.
A team of Veterinary doctors reached the spot as soon as the incident was received. Postmortem of buffaloes is being done so that the right reason can be revealed. The real cause of death has not yet been clear, but the investigation is on.
Statement of Additional Director of Animal Resources Department revealed
Girdhari Bhoi, Additional Director of Animal Resources Department said, “Our doctor’s team went to the spot. Along with me, the main district veterinary officer of Kendrapada, his team and scientists of the Animal Disease Laboratory were also present. We have also done post -mortem of 2 buffaloes and their samples have been collected. We have not known the buffalo in the water. The place is a marsh where this buffalo would have been stuck, due to which they may have died but we are not confirming it as it is the facts collected on the basis of preliminary investigation. “
He said, “The truth will be known only after examining the samples. We have also collected water samples which will be investigated but primarily no dirt is being detected in the water. The condition of buffalo lungs in the postmortem is the condition of such a condition, such a condition is due to drowning. Have lost. “
