76kmph thunderstorms started in Delhi, orange alert issued
The weather changed on Saturday afternoon in Delhi-NCR. There was a strong thunderstorm at the speed of 76kmph here. Due to this, the sheet of dust was covered on the entire Delhi-NCR. After this, a strong thunderstorm started shortly after. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of thunderstorms here.
The situation is becoming serious due to heavy rains in the northeastern states. Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to the CM of Assam, Arunachal and Sikkim and the Governor of Manipur on the phone. The states assured all possible help from the Center.
In the northeastern states, 32 people died in two days. 16 people died in Assam, 9 in Arunachal, 4 in Mizoram and 3 in Meghalaya. 78 thousand more people have been affected in more than 15 districts of Assam. In Tripura, 1300 families have been shifted to safe places.
In Manipur, 3,802 people have been affected due to flood-laidslide in the last 48 hours due to heavy rains in Manipur. 883 houses have been damaged. The car, which was hit by a landslide on Highway 13 in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, fell into a deep ditch. 7 people from two families were killed in the accident. In another incident, 2 people died.
At the same time, about 1500 tourists are stranded in North Sikkim. Evelynch came on Srinagar-Leh highway on Sunday. The road has been closed due to the debris of the mountains being accumulated on the road. Administration and rescue teams are engaged in the work of removing debris. Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir received heavy rains and hailstorm on Sunday. A total of 7 mm rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours.
Alert for thunderstorms has been issued in 14 districts of Rajasthan. At the same time, from June 2 to 4, most parts of the state are expected to have cloud cover, thunderstorm and rain. On Saturday, thunderstorms in Bharatpur, Alwar, Dholpur, Baran gave relief from the heat. On the other hand, the heat in Sriganganagar, Churu, Hanumangarh intensified.
