Story of Lord Parshuram: Parashurama is considered Chiranjeevi. He is one of the eight Chiranjivis. He was also in the Ramayana period and was also in the Mahabharata period. He gave education and initiation of thousands of people. They are found in different places in every period. He was born on Akshaya Tritiya. This time his birth anniversary will be on 30 April 2025. Let’s know 8 major stories of his life.

1. Shiva and Parashurama: Parashurama received the education of the scriptures from Dada Richik, father Jamadagni and his father’s maternal uncle Rajarshi Vishwamitra and Lord Shankar. He was given a weapon called Farsa by Lord Shiva. According to the Puranas, Lord Shiva gave Parashuramji a divine Fars, Bhargavastra to destroy unrighteousness. With this again, he killed the Haihayashi Kshatriya kings 36 times. It is said that he had destroyed 64 dynasties in 21 campaigns.

2. Parashurama and Ganeshji: In the Satyuga, once Ganesha stopped Parashurama from Shiva darshan, the angry Parashurama hit him, which destroyed Ganesha’s teeth and he was called Ekadanta.

3. Parashurama and Hanuman: Once Hanumanji fought a fierce fight with Parashurama to save an innocent Kshatriya who came to his shelter. Then Hanumanji attacked Parashuram ji’s head with mace and Parashuramji fainted. Seeing this, Lord Shiva appeared and he asked to stop this war.

4. Parashurama and Sahastrabahu: In the time of Parashurama Rama, there was tyranny of the Haihaya dynasty Kshatriya kings. The old enmity of Bhargava and Haihaya dynasty was going on. King of Haihayavans, Sahasrabahu Arjuna used to persecute the sages of Bhargava ashrams. At one time, the sons of Sahasrabahu killed Parashurama’s father with the spirit of taking the Kamdhenu cow of Jamadagni’s ashram and taking revenge on Parashurama. Parashuram’s mother Renuka, distracted by her husband’s murder, entered her Chitagni sati. This gross incident made Parashuram angry and he resolved- I will destroy all the Kshatriyas of the Haihaya dynasty. Under this swear, he fought the people of this dynasty 21 times and destroyed them completely. The main king of the hai dynasty was Sahastrabahu, it was done by Parashurama.

5. Parashuram and Shriram: When Lord Shri Ram broke Shivji’s bow, Parashuram ji was angry and threatened there. But he saw Vishnu in Shri Ram and at that time Vishwamitra also told him that the time for your avatar is over and now Vishnu is in the form of Lord Shri Ram himself. Then Parashuram ji gave Ramji a bow named Kodand.

6. Parashuram and Bhishma: From the womb of Satyavati, Maharaj Shantanu had 2 sons named Chitrangad and Vichitravirya. After Shantanu’s death, Chitrangad was also killed in a war, then Bhishma child sat on the throne and started seeing Rajkarya himself. When Vichitravirya was young, Bhishma forcefully killed 3 daughters of Kashiraj. But one of the big princess Amba was released, as she wanted Shalvaraja. The other two (Ambalika and Ambika) were married to Vichitravirya. When Shalvaraj did not adopt Amba, he complained to Parashurama. Parashuram fought Bhishma but did not result in any result and in the end Amba committed suicide. Later, Amba was born as Shikhandi and took revenge on Bhishma.

7. Karna and Parashurama: In that period, Dronacharya, Parashurama and Ved Vyasa remembered to run Brahmastra and fail it when someone used Brahmastra. When Dronacharya refused to teach Brahmastra Vidya to Karna, he reached Parashurama. Parashurama had vowed that he would teach this discipline to a Brahmin, because the risk of misuse of this learning had increased. When Karna wanted to learn this, he reached Parashurama and described himself as the son of a Brahmin and learned this knowledge from him. Later, Parashuramji came to know about this deceit, then he cursed Karna that when you need this knowledge the most then you will forget it.

8. Parashurama and Shri Krishna: During the Mahabharata period, Parashuramji lived somewhere in the ashram in front of Gomantak Mountains in South India. Due to the invasion of Jarasandha, Sri Krishna once moved to the south. There were 4 states of Yadavas in the south during that period. Adipurush, Padmavat, Kraunchapur and the fourth kingdom Yadu son Harit settled on the west ocean coast. Lord Parashurama resided on the banks of the Vanya River in the Padmavat state. When Shri Krishna met him in his ashram there, Parashurama presented him to Sudarshan Chakra and said that this is your weapon.
