How did Aruna Raje’s real life inspire ‘depth’

In an interview to Bollywood crypt, Aruna Raje said that the idea of ‘depth’ came from a personal experience. ‘When I lived in Bangalore with my family, my mother used to search for something in the garden every day. Turmeric or small lemon stained with kumkum. People used to do black magic. He further said, ‘When I got a chance to make something, I thought,’ Why not make something on black magic? ‘ And then we started research. Interestingly, Vijay Tendulkar was with us on this script. Therefore, the three of us were writing scripts. We interviewed many people. We have very interesting stories. Then we met a girl on whom a strange ghost was shared. On which the ghost was shared, she was a Christian. But the girl on whom the ghost was riding was a Muslim girl from Lucknow. We were surprised that when the ghost rode on that girl, she started speaking Urdu. She used to narrate poetry. This story looked inspiring. Aruna Raje told that while writing the story, he met tantrikas and black magic. ‘One important thing is that we should not do all this ourselves. Because we do not know the result. Everyone warned us not to make this film. Incidents will happen with you. We were not superstitious, so we thought we are making only a film. We made the film. But things deteriorated. ‘

Aruna Raje said that a few years after the release of the depth, she got divorced from her husband and her daughter died of cancer at the age of 9. Not only this, soon after release, the audience started complaining to him that he was having strange and scary incidents.
