Referring to the government ensuring food security for 80 crore people, opening 48.27 crore accounts under Jan Dhan and connecting everyone with financial services, he said that out of these, about 26.54 crore accounts are of women. He said that an estimated Rs 25 lakh crore was disbursed by linking the Aadhaar of 133 crore people through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
According to the booklet released by the Narendra Modi government, the Modi government built 11.72 crore toilets and gave 9.6 crore LPG cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme to give respect to women. Irani said that of the 2.5 crore houses built under the rural housing scheme, 70 per cent are either in the name of women or are jointly owned.
He said the government has provided piped water to 8.67 crore households under its Jal Jeevan Mission and 69 per cent beneficiaries under the Mudra scheme are women. In March 2023, the Center has extended the subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG cylinders for one year.
The booklet mentions the steps taken by the Modi government for tribes, reservation for economically weaker sections, allowing states to make their own OBC lists and making triple talaq illegal. In this, detailed information has been given about the schemes made for the farmers.
For example, 11.39 crore small farmers being given Rs 6,000 every year through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and 37.59 crore farmers being registered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana launched in 2016. Some other things mentioned in the booklet are 1.37 crore youth trained under Skill India, ITIs increased from 11,847 to 14,955 in nine years, 390 new universities established, AIIMS increased from 8 to 23 Medical colleges were increased from 641 to 1,341 and medical seats were increased from 82,466 to 1,52,129.
The government said it has left behind the UPA’s tenure of 10 years in building urban housing. During this period 6.5 crore community toilets were built and 4,335 towns and villages were made open defecation free.

The government has counted Ayushman Bharat, the Saubhagya scheme to provide electricity to homes, 220 crore Covid vaccines and bringing back Indians from across the world during the pandemic as its other successes.
The government informed that till 17 April, 100 G20 meetings were held in 41 cities. He presented ensuring internal security, defense production, abrogation of Article 370, Agneepath scheme and introduction of Goods and Services Tax as his successes. According to the booklet, India accounts for 40 per cent of the total UPI transactions in the world.
The government talked about the PLI scheme and said that it would create 60 lakh jobs in the next five years. Irani gave details of the successes achieved in the construction of highways and rural roads. The government said that the Prime Minister launched 13 Vande Bharat trains and 400 indigenously built trains will be included in the next three years. The government said that the cultural heritage of India is being restored by building the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath corridor.
The Congress, on the other hand, asked the Prime Minister to apologize to the public for cheating. He said that this day should be celebrated as Apology Day.
