The names of Harappa i.e. Indus Valley Civilization and Sumerian civilizations are usually in the world’s most ancient civilizations. However, many such discoveries are coming out from which it is being speculated that old civilizations are also present on this earth. One such discovery has also come out from the Indian Ocean. There has been information about a civilization within the Indian Ocean that can also be centuries older than the Indus Valley Civilization and Sumerian civilizations. It may be that the roots of human civilization are more older than our imagination. Let’s know the whole matter.

Search was done before 2 decades

According to Toi, a mysterious place has been revealed under water on the beach of western India. It is believed that this ancient site can write the chapter of civilizations once again. Researchers discovered the site about 2 decades ago in the depth of the Gulf of Khambhat. Its fact has never been fully accepted or rejected. But even now the discussion about this civilization is going on continuously.

What was found in search?

In fact, in the year 2000, the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) had made an important discovery in the Gulf of Khambhat, away from the west coast of India, India. This discovery was done during the regular pollution survey. During the survey, Sonar technology showed geometric structures on the bottom of the sea. These structures were pointing to the existence of a submerged city. This alleged city is located 120 feet below the water. The length of the city is estimated to be 5 miles and width to 2 miles. Many things like earthen pots, pearls, sculptures and human remains were found from this place. When they were carbon-dating, it was found that these artworks are about 9,500 years old. It is believed that these are things before the Indus Valley Civilization.

What is the opinion of experts?

According to the Indi 100 report, Dr. Badrinarayan of the scientific team of NIOT had said that these remains indicate submerged civilization due to the rise of sea water level at the end of the last ice age which was quite advanced. Dr. Badrinarayan had suggested that the Harappan civilization would have descended from this civilization under the sea. However, some experts have also questioned this claim. He expressed the possibility that some artifacts would have been taken by ancient rivers. Along with this, concern has also been expressed about the credibility of carbon dating.
