Smriti Mandhana made history by hitting a century in the ODI Tri -series final
Indian women’s cricket team’s opening batsman Smriti Mandhana made history by scoring a century in the final match of the ODI Tri -series against Sri Lanka on Sunday (May 11) at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. Mandhana scored 116 runs in 101 balls, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes, in which he completed his century in 92 balls. During this century innings, Mandhana made some special records.
Third batter with the highest century
Mandhana has reached third in the list of batter scoring the most runs in women’s ODI cricket. He has now scored 11 centuries in 102 innings. In this list, Australia’s Mag Lenning (15 centuries in 102 innings) and New Zealand’s Suji Bates (13 centuries in 164 innings) are ahead of him.
Mithali Raj left behind
Mandhana has reached the first place in terms of playing the biggest personal innings for India in the final of the women’s ODI tournament. He broke the record of former captain Mithali Raj, who scored an unbeaten 108 in 121 balls against Sri Lanka in 2006.
