Electric two -wheelers sold in the country, customers confident Tata and Mg in EV car

Electric vehicles are dominated in the country. Be it two wheelers, three wheelers or for wheelers, sales figures in every segment are continuously increasing. A report has revealed, the report is being told that by the end of FY 2025, more than 61 lakh units have been sold in the country so far. This includes two-wheeler, three wheeler and for wheeler. By 31 March 2025 in the country, the sale of electric vehicle has touched 61,65,964 units. A total of 2 million units of EV sold during FY 2025. This information was given in a latest report released recently.

Electric to wheeler sales are the highest

According to JMK Research’s ‘Annual India EV Report Card: FY 2025’, more than 50 percent of the total sales of registered electric two -wheelers (elements) were more than 50 percent. This was followed by passenger electric three-wheelers (EthrimW-P), which staked about 36 percent of the EV market in India in FY 2025.

These companies on top in E2W segment

The EtawW segment recorded a 19 percent increase in FY 2025 on an annual basis. The name of Ola Electric, TVS Motors and Bajaj was included in the top three performing companies in the registered element category, whose joint market share in this segment was around 70 percent. At the same time, the EthyleD segment has registered an 11 percent increase in FY 2025 on an annual basis, which included both passenger and cargo vehicle. The passenger segment was the Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, Bajaj Auto and YC Electric Top Performer Company, whose joint stake was a total of 25 percent in the segment. All three companies have also recorded 19 percent cumulative shares in the cargo segment.

Tata’s electric car sold more

Apart from this, the financial year 2025 also registered an increase of 11 percent on an annual basis for the sale of electric car. Tata Motors was the major player with an electric car, with a total market share of 53 percent. After this, MG was second with 28 percent stake. According to the report, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Delhi remained the top five states for EV sales till March 2025, whose joint market share was 50 percent. However, only in FY 2025, Bihar entered the list of top five instead of Delhi, in which Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Bihar became the top five states.
