Army press conference regarding operation vermilion
In the joint press conference on Sunday, the army showed photos of the damage caused to air defense radars, airbases and other military bases at a joint press conference on the success of Operation Sindoor amidst the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. Air Marshal AK Bharti had confirmed that air defense radars have been destroyed in Pakistan Pasroor, Chunion and Arifwala during the operation.
When Air Marshal A.K. Bharti was asked if India had attacked the Grocery Hills, he said, “Thank you for telling us that there are some nuclear establishments in the grocery hills, we did not know about it. We have not attacked the grocery hills, no matter what there is.”
Bharti’s commentary came amidst speculation and discussion on social media, claiming that India attacked the Mushaf Airbase in Sargodha, allegedly associated with underground atomic storage under the grocery hills, using loitoring and penetrator weapons.
What is grocery hills
Kirana Hills is a huge rocky mountain range and Sargodha district has a specified area under the Ministry of Defense of Pakistan. Locally known as its brown terrain, it is known as “Black Mountain”, it is spread between the township of Rabwah and the city of Sargodha. A.K. Bharti also highlighted the preparations and performances of Indian forces during recent military operations. He said, “Another main attraction was a great performance of indigenous air defense weapons such as the sky system.”
We are ready to do any execution
He said, “All our military bases and systems are completely operational and are ready to carry out any mission.” In a joint press briefing on Sunday, Air Marshal Bharti presented visual evidence of widespread damage to Pakistani air defense radar, air areas and other military establishments. India carried out the counter-attacks on the night of 9-10 May after Pakistan’s efforts to target 26 Indian places including Air Force bases in Udhampur, Pathankot and Adampur.
