New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra thanked the security forces on the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ at a press conference on Monday. Sambit Patra said, ‘Today is a proud moment. I am saying this not only as a BJP spokesperson, being an Indian. India has given a tough message against terrorism in the world through ‘Operation Sindoor’. In the true sense, the whole country knows about ‘Operation Sindoor’.

‘What did not happen in 50 years now happened’

Sambit Patra said, ‘Hindustan has fought a decisive battle against terrorism under Operation Sindoor. On April 22, 26 people from Pakistan killed 26 people. The Prime Minister came back and clearly said from the land of Bihar that the country will be what the country wants. Operation Sindoor is a military operation and a non-military operation. Indus Water Treaty was canceled, on which Pakistan is up to 90%. What did not happen in 50 years, it has now happened.

‘Pakistan isolated on global forums’

Patra said, ‘Attari border was closed, trade with Pakistan was finished, Pakistani citizens were sent back and Pakistan was isolated on global forums. Islamic countries were also erected with India. This time the civil action taken was never used in the last 50 years. Operation Sindoor showed what India can do. The goal of this operation was clear. First, destroy the terrorist bases present in far-flung areas of Pakistan.

‘Terrorists could never think of this’

The BJP spokesperson said, ‘The terrorists could never think that someone would come and attack. The second goal was to eliminate terrorists, lose the life of a soldier without harming a citizen. The goal was only the end of terror and terrorists. 9 terrorist bases were destroyed under this operation. It is necessary to repeat these names, so that the country remembers that India entered the stronghold of terror and responded to it. The terrorists who were killed are more than 100.

‘Many notorious terrorists were also killed in this action’

Sambit Patra said, ‘These terrorists also included Mudassar Kadian Khan, who was a senior officer of Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) at Muridke. Apart from this, notorious terrorists like Hafiz Muhammad Jamil and Abdul Rauf, who were involved in the IC-814 aircraft kidnapping were also killed in this action. It can be clearly seen in the available photographs that these terrorists were also present with high officials of the Pakistani army, which shows what extent is the connivance between Pakistan’s army and terrorism.

’11 air base in Pakistan demolished’

The BJP leader said, ‘India attacked with Rafale aircraft on the night of 6 to 7 April. Pakistan’s air defense system failed completely. Within just 23 minutes, India showed the biggest and decisive action against terrorism so far. All our pilots went with Rafale aircraft, they all returned safely. Between 7 and 9 o’clock, we completely neutralized the air defense system of Pakistan and 11 air base was demolished between 7 and 10 pm.

‘It was not ceasefire but an understanding’

The BJP leader said, ‘This is the first time in history when a country has done such a huge operation by entering an atomic nation. In this operation, 9 terrorist bases, 11 air base, more than 100 terrorists and 50 Pakistani soldiers were eliminated. And the biggest thing, Pakistan also lost its international credibility and respect. When the DGMO of Pakistan called India nervous, it was not a ‘ceasefire’ but a ‘understanding’ to understand India’s strength. ‘

‘All political parties have shown solidarity’

Patra said, ‘I think today is the day of the whole of India. All political parties have shown solidarity. Today I will not criticize anyone. At the time of 26/11, we had sent dosier to Pakistan, but now India has explained Pakistan not only by paper, but by action.
