78th ear film festival began with opposition from US President Donald Trump’s cinema tariff

Hollywood legendary filmmaker Quantin Tantanon inaugurated the 78th Canar Film Festival in the Grand Theater Lumier in the presence of film personalities from all over the world. He said that he is proud that he is announcing the launch of the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

The ceremony began with the performance of French young filmmaker Emily Bonin’s film ‘Partir An Zur’ (Leave One Day). Earlier, Leonardo Dickaprio honored the famous Hollywood superstar Robert Diniro with Anrerey Palma Door. The jury headed by Juliet Binosh was introduced on the occasion, including Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia.

Payal’s film All V Imagine Age Lite was given the second largest prize of the Cannes Film Festival last year. There are very few filmmakers in the history of 78 years of the Cannes Film Festival who have been invited to the main jury. Payal Kapadia’s being in the jury is a big thing for Indian cinema.

Hollywood star Leonardo Dickaprio said in honor of Robert Diniro that he has become a role model for actors around the world. He has changed the definition of acting in cinema. He said that for young actors around the world, seeing the work of Diniro is the biggest training of how physical transformation is possible while acting a character. He has become a classic fashion in acting.

Seeing their acting, many generations of actors have become superstars. His father was a famous painter and he got the support of art in childishness. His cinematic partnership with Martin Scarsece is unmatched which redefines the relationship of the actor and director. He has lived in cinema without compromising iconic stories.

Dicaprio said that his father used to take Diniro’s films. Taxi driver, Gadfather 2, Dear Hunter, Killers of the Flower Moon and many other films, he said without speaking a word like the original story of the film is amazing. Dicaprio shared the experiences of Martin Scarsce’s previous film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ with Robert Diniro, saying it was the most important time of his life.

Robert Diniro started his speech by opposing US President Donald Trump’s announcement of 100 percent terror on the cinema made out of the US. He said that it cannot be accepted under any circumstances. He even said that the world fraternity of cinema should campaign against Trump’s decision.

He said that we should vote against him and evict him from power so that democracy is protected. Democracy in America has reached hell and art is in danger. Donald Trump has drastically cut the budget of education, culture and arts. Actually dictators from all over the world are most afraid of art and cinema. This is not only a problem of America, this is happening in the whole world.

The freedom of cinema and arts is in danger and we all have to unite and oppose these efforts. Recalling his fifty years of association with the Cannes Film Festival, he said that he first came to Kan in 1973. Since then, he has seen that this ceremony is dedicated to the freedom of ideas in art and cinema. A special master class is being held with Robert Diniro at the ceremony.

Jury president Juliet Binosh expressed concern over the art and the attacks on artists worldwide. He said that Gaza’s photo journalist Fatima Hasoun died on this 16 April with ten people of her family in a missile attack. A day before he died, he came to know that his film was selected at the Cannes Film Festival. He wrote that death passed through him. The shooter’s bullet crossed me and I became an angel. Today Fatima had to be among us. He said that filmmakers from all over the world have to fight against the attacks on actors. A tribute was paid to the famous Hollywood filmmaker David Lynch on the occasion.

There is a lot of discussion about the world premiere of Tom Cruise’s new film ‘Mission Impossible – The Final Reconting’ at the ceremony. The film is directed by Christopher McCweri. A special master class is also being organized with him. Last year, a new section of films based on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality was started at the Cannes Film Festival which was very successful. This time too, nine films are being shown in this section. Apart from these films, an exhibition of several projects of young users based on visual audio medium and technical miracles has also been organized.
