Transit in the Taurus of the Sun is called Taurus Sankranti. Sun God will transit in Taurus at 11:51 pm on May 14, 2025. The sun will remain in this zodiac for one month. In Sanskrit, the word ‘Taurus’ means ‘bull’. The bull is also called Nandi, which is the vehicle of Shiva. In the scriptures, Taurus Sankranti is considered as similar to Makar Sankranti. By taking special measures on this day, promotion in the job and progress in business are made.
Importance of Taurus Sankranti: According to the scriptures, worship, chanting, penance and donation on the day of Taurus Sankranti gives the fruit to the fruit. In this month, drinking water to thirsty or applying it outside the house gives a person equivalent to perform a yajna. During the Taurus Sankranti, the Sun God comes in the Rohini Nakshatra and stays for 15 days, it has a strong heat for the first 9 days. On the day of Taurus Sankranti, there is a tradition of worshiping Lord Shiva’s Rishabh Rudra form and Lord Surya. By worshiping the sun on the day of Taurus Sankranti, the sun is strong in the horoscope. Therefore, Arghya should also be offered to the Sun. On this day, worshiping Lord Vishnu, along with happiness and rich life, gets salvation from the cycle of rebirth.
1. Shiv Jalabhishek: On the day of Taurus Sankranti, there is a tradition of worshiping Lord Shiva’s Rishabh Rudra form and Lord Surya. Mix a little milk in water in a copper lotus and offer it on the Shivling, while uttering the mantra of Shiva.
2. Offer the sun to offer: To offer water to the Sun God, take water in the morning by mixing water in the same water and offer water to the same water. Gently offer the sun to the sun in such a way that the stream falls near the foot or on the seat. Due to falling water stream on the ground, the sun-energy contained in water will go into the earth and you will not be able to get the entire benefit of the sun arghya. While offering Arghya, recite the following mantra-

Compassionate Mam Bhakta Grihnarghya Diwakar :. ‘ (11 times)
‘ॐ Hr Hr Surya, Sahastrakiranay.
Manivasit Paan Dehi Dehi Dehi Swaha :. ‘ (3 times)

Chanting Surya Mantra 108 times regularly increases the desire and gives the blessings of the Sun God.
4. Touch the father’s feet: In the morning, touch the father’s feet and seek his blessings. This strengthens the position of the sun in the horoscope. If you are not a father, then take a blessing of the grandfather or father by touching the feet of Tau or Kaka.
5. Recitation of Aditya Hridaya Pantra: For spiritual power and internal concentration, recite the Aditya Hridaya Santotra once a day.
