During the Super Cup match, the players tied black band, mourning the victims of the terrorist attack
The players of Bengaluru FC and Inter Kashi kept a minute’s silence to mourn the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam before their Super Cup match here on Wednesday and played a black band on the arm. On Tuesday, terrorists killed at least 26 people in Basaron, Pahalgam, which had mostly tourists.
The ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), a part of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) terrorist group, has taken responsibility for the attack. This attack has been strongly condemned worldwide.
The domestic and foreign players of both the teams landed in the field by tying a black band to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack. Just before the match started, the players, match officials and the audience present at the Kalinga Stadium kept a minute’s silence in memory of the departed souls.
Earlier, Bengaluru FC expressed solidarity with the victims and injured of the terrorist attack. ISL 2018-19 Champion Club Bangalore FC said on ‘X’, “Bangalore FC victims, their families and all the people affected in the Pahalgam attack stands unitedly.”
He said, “One minute silence will be kept before today’s Kalinga Super Cup match where the team players will tie a black band on the arm as an honor.”
Bengaluru FC and India captain Sunil Chhetri condemned the ‘cowardice’ act of terrorists. Chhetri said, “I am saddened by the news coming from Pahalgam. Words are falling short. My condolences are with all the families affected by this cowardly terrorist attack. ”
Inter Kashi described the terrorist attack as a ‘wound on the soul of the country’. Inter Kashi said, “They say that the show should go on. And goes on. But not without remembering. Not without anger. Pahalgam is soaked in blood and we too. What happened is not just the title of a news – it is a wound on the soul of this country. ”
He said, “Terrorism should not only be condemned but should be faced and be defeated. We are united – in sorrow, anger and in resolve. ”
This Ilig Club in Varanasi said, “The world is moving forward, we stop to stand in solidarity and anger. The game goes on, yes – but not quietly. Because the game shows life and today we raise their voice for those who were taken away so cruelly. ”
Chennaiyin FC and Mumbai City FC, who confronted each other in the second match of the day, also condemned the terrorist attack and called it ‘insensitive violence’.
Chennaiyin FC said, “The act of insensitive violence in Pahalgam has killed innocent people, which is usually a quiet place in India. There is no place for terrorism anywhere. ”
The ISL club said, “Club stands with the heart of the victims, their families and all those who will be affected in the coming days and in the coming days.”
Mumbai City FC wrote, “We have condolences with all the people affected by the tragic attack in Pahalgam. We mourn the people killed and are standing in solidarity with their families in this hour of grief. (Language)
