KL Rahul made a great record by hitting a century, became the first cricketer to do so in IPL history

Delhi Capitals (Delhi Capitals) star batsman KL Rahul (May 18) hit a brilliant century in the IPL 2025 against Gujarat Titans against Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (May 18). He scored an unbeaten 112 in 65 balls, batting at a strong rate of 172.31, scoring 14 fours and 4 sixes.

The first cricketer to do so

Rahul has become the first batsman in the history of IPL to score a century for three different teams. Rahul has earlier scored a century in the IPL for Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. He has scored two centuries for both Punjab and Lucknow.

Arrived at number four

Rahul has reached number four in terms of scoring the most centuries in the IPL. He has so far scored five centuries in the history of the tournament. In this list, Virat Kohli (8 centuries), Jose Butler (7 centuries) and Chris Gayle (6 centuries) are ahead of him.

Kohli- Gail beaten

Rahul has become the most unbeaten century player in the IPL. He has returned an unbeaten pavilion in all the five centuries rooted so far. In this list, he has left behind Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli, who has scored four unbeaten centuries in the IPL.

However, this century of Rahul proved insufficient for Delhi’s victory and the team suffered a crushing defeat by 10 wickets. After getting the first batting invitation, Delhi scored 199 runs at the loss of 3 wickets thanks to KL Rahul’s century. In response, Gujarat won 19 overs without any loss. For Gujarat, Sudarshan scored an unbeaten 108 and captain Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 93.
