Jaisalmer: For the first time after the success of Operation Sindoor, Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi visited the border areas of Rajasthan. Here he encouraged them by talking to army personnel. Upendra Dwivedi visited Longewala in Jaisalmer, the advance front of Konark Corps.

Army Chief Longewala went to the post. Longewala is a small place in the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This area is on the border of Pakistan. This place has special significance, as Pakistan attacked the post here between 4 to 7 December in 1971.
There was a fierce fight between the soldiers of the two countries here. In this fight, 120 Indian soldiers bravely faced an attack of 3,000 Pakistani troops and 46 tanks. India won in this war. The film border has also been made on this fight.

After the Army Chief, CDS General Anil Chauhan also visited the military station and Air Force Station. CDS General Anil Chauhan visited Suratgarh military station and Nalia Air Force Station and encouraged the soldiers. Both these military hideouts are considered strategically important in the advance area. The CDS praised the courage of the soldiers for neutralizing the dangers of enemies during Operation Sindoor. He also asked the soldiers to be ready to compete with further challenges.
