The life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, called ‘Missile Man’, former President of India, is going to appear on the big screen soon. Bharat Ratna is going to be a biopic on APJ Abdul Kalam. This biopic will be directed by Om Raut. At the same time, Abdul Kalam’s role is going to play South Star Dhanush.
Om Raut made an official announcement of the film ‘Kalam’ at the Cannes Festival. This biopic will be based on the former President of India’s book ‘Wings of Fire’. The film will show Kalam’s journey from childhood to becoming President.

The makers shared the first title poster of the film at the Cannes Film Festival. Sharing the poster on social media, Om Raut wrote, ‘A legend journey begins from Rameswaram to Rashtrapati Bhavan … India’s missile man is coming on the silver screen. Dream big. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a person, who was saluted by the whole country. On 27 July 2015, Dr. Kalam, who lives his life with simplicity and selflessly served for the country, said goodbye to this world. He was also a well-known scientist and engineer. Dr. Kalam was the 11th President of India.
The film will be produced by Abhishek Aggarwal, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Anil Sunkara. Om Raut will direct it. The release date of the film is not yet announced.
