Ayush Mhatre became the captain of Team India, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also joined the team for the tour of England
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s Under-19 team for the England tour starting next month. The team’s captaincy is entrusted to Ayush Mhatre, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also included in the team.
17 -year -old Mhatre is part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, while 14 -year -old Suryavanshi Rajasthan Royals team. Both players impressed their game this season. Vaibhav played 7 matches this season, scored 252 runs at an average of 36, in which he also scored a record 35 balls. At the same time, Mhatre has scored 206 runs in 6 matches at an average of 34.33.
Another Mumbai batsman Abhiyan Kundu has been made the vice-captain of the team.
The BCCI said in its statement, the Indian Under-19 team has been selected by the BCCI’s Junior Cricket Committee. India’s under-19 England tour will run from 24 June to 23 July 2025. The tour includes a 50-over practice match, followed by the five-match Youth One-Day series and two multi-day matches against the England Under-19.
