In view of the security of the defense area, the Government of India has ordered the windows to be closed at the time of flight and landing. This order has been issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

According to the order, passengers will also be banned on taking photographs and making videos. This rule will apply to 4 defense airports in the country, which are used for commercial flights. This includes Amritsar, Jammu, Srinagar and Jaisalmer Airports.

Window will have to be closed until the plane goes 10,000 feet
DGCA has issued instructions to airlines, helicopters and chartered plane operators that windows in the aircraft coming to the defense airfield will remain closed until the plane does not reach a height of 10,000 feet during the takeoff or down during the landing.

The Hindu newspaper quoted a senior DGCA official as saying that the order has been issued on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defense. The order was issued on 20 May. Information has now surfaced.

Legal action against those who do not accept rules
DGCA has directed the airlines to prepare a SOP for crew members for this, so that the cruel can inform passengers before the flight flights at the airports near the border or during the landing. The order states that legal action will be taken against the passengers for violating the rules.

According to The Hindu report, many pilots say that it is necessary to keep the window open during takeoff and landing.
This is a security protocol. This is done so that the danger outside can be gauged. Which includes technical faults, engine fire due to collision.
Open windows help to understand the current situation in the emergency. This helps in handling the situation and solving it.
DGCA said- Emergency window will be kept open
A DGCA officer said that since it is necessary to keep the window open at the time of landing, the emergency window will be kept open. The order will be reviewed again after a week.
