Pahalgam terror attack: After the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, the tough step taken by the Government of India has also caused panic in Pakistan. Following the Cabinet Committee meeting on security matters, India took five major decisions against Pakistan, which includes important decisions like stopping the Indus Water Agreement, canceling visa, closing of the attic border. Now fearful of this, Pakistan has called an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee today.

Military and civilian leadership will meet

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif said on Wednesday night that the Sindhu will hold a meeting on Thursday for a proper reply on India’s move to prevent water harmony and cut diplomatic relations. Asif said in a statement, “A meeting of the National Security Committee will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.” He said that “decisions will be taken to give proper answer to the Indian steps. The meeting will include chief and head cabinet ministers of the three army organs. Such meetings are called on such important occasions when issues related to national security are to be discussed.

26 people were killed in a terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam in southern Kashmir. The CCS has decided that Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES) and all such visas issued to Pakistani citizens in the past will be considered canceled.

Decisions taken in CCS meeting

  1. The Indus Water Treaty of 1960 will be postponed with immediate effect, until Pakistan tries its support to the cross -border terrorism.
  2. By May 1, the total number of people posted in Pakistani and Indian High Commissions will be reduced from 55 to 30 by May 1.
  3. Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to travel to India under SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES) and any Pakistani citizen present in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India.
  4. In the Pakistani High Commission, defense, military, navy and air advisors have been declared unwanted (Persona Non Grata) “and they have been asked to leave India within a week
  5. India will also call back its defense, Navy, air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad
  6. Regarding the closure of the integrated border post in the attic, Egyptian said that those who have crossed the boundary with a valid certificate can return by that route before May 1.
