Rajesh Roshan was born on 24 May 1955 in Mumbai. His father Roshan Lal Nagrath was a renowned musician of the film industry.

In the seventies, Rajesh Roshan started working as an assistant to composer Laxmikant-Pyarelal. He worked with him for about five years. Rajesh Roshan started his cine career as a composer with Mahmud’s 1974 film ‘Kunwara Bap’, but the film was badly beaten on the ticket window due to a weak script.

The star of Rajesh Roshan’s fate shone with the film ‘Julie’ released in 1975. In this film, his composited songs ‘Dil Kya Kare Jab Koi Koi Koi Se Pyaar Ho Jaye’, ‘My Heart Is Beating’, ‘Ye Raatan Nai Nayi’ and ‘Julie I Love You’ became very popular among the audience. After the success of film and music, he managed to make his mark to some extent as a musician.

After struggling in Mayanagari Mumbai for nearly four years, Rajesh Roshan got a chance to give music in the film Mr. Natwar Lal, starring Amitabh Bachchan in 1979. His music song Pardesia in this film became very popular among the audience in those days Piya. After the success of the film and music, Rajesh Roshan’s star got out of Gurdish.
