After the Pulwama attack in 2019, India almost discontinued imports from Pakistan.
We impose 200% tariff on Pakistani products
India imposed 200 percent tariff on imports from Pakistan. At the same time, India had also withdrawn the status of Pakistan’s most favorite nation. Due to this, Pakistan’s export to India fell from $ 54.7 million to $ 48 million in 2024. In 2019, when Article 370 was removed from Kashmir, Pakistan announced to shut down all bilateral trade with India. However, when inflation in Pakistan increased, it withdrew the decision.
What do we export to Pakistan
The goods that India exported to Pakistan include biological chemicals, medicinal products, counse, sugar and sweets. At the same time, Pakistan exports salt, sulfur, lime, clothes and cement in India. 200 % of tariffs in India are still imposed on Pakistani products.
