A review meeting of the road safety was held on Wednesday in the auditorium room located in the Small Secretariat Complex under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Satbir Mann. In the meeting, the work done on various issues related to road safety and traffic management was discussed in detail. Perform the repair work of the roads before the rain, ADC Satbir Mann said that before the rainy, the work of repairing all the roads in the district should be completed as soon as possible. Also, make arrangements to the places of waterlogging and arrange that there should be no waterlogging on the roads during the rainy season. He instructed the officials concerned to close illegal cuts on highways and other main routes.
He instructed the officials of NH and Public Works Department to speed up the construction of road projects related to them. He instructed the traffic police not to allow any type of vehicle, hawkers etc. to be parked around the city’s major intersections/ turns, causing congestion and jam situation. Do not allow encroachments happening under the roads and under the bridges and remove it as soon as possible. Along with this, instructions have been given to ensure that the security grills between the roads are not broken and if the electric poles are in the middle of the roads, they should be shifted quickly. He said that it is necessary to have an open space around any turn or intersection. The accident should be identified by a possible area and the cause of accidents should be known.
ADC Satbir Mann said that from the point of view of road safety, road marking, indicator boards (sign boards), functionality of traffic signals and status of street lights are also being monitored regularly, so that adequate lights are maintained and the possibility of accidents is minimal. He asked the police administration to put CAT I or Sign Board at essential places so that there is no accident. It is necessary to have a sign board and speed limit board, especially at the acute turn. If there is any kind of pillar of any kind in the middle of the road, the concerned department should take action on it and remove it from the middle of the road and place it on the side. Whatever roads that have pits or the road are broken in the city, fix it as soon as possible. Other dignitaries including SDM Faridabad Shikha, SDM Ballabhgarh Mayank Bhardwaj, DCP Jayveer and other dignitaries including road safety were present in the meeting.
