Vienna: US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he has asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the attack on Iran to get more time to move forward on the new nuclear deal with Tehran. Trump told reporters at the White House, “I told him that it would be inappropriate to do so now because we are very close to the solution.”

Not yet decided

President Donald Trump’s remarks came at a time when Rafael Mariano Gossi, head of the United Nations nuclear monitoring institution, said that there is still no decision on the talks between Iran and the US over Iran’s rapidly growing nuclear program. Grexy said that he was interacting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US -former envoy Steve Vitkoff almost daily. Greesy told reporters in Vienna, ‘At present, nothing has been decided. We do not know whether any agreement is going to be made or not.

What does America want?

Uranium enrichment is being negotiated between the US and Iran. There is also a discussion between the two countries how to limit the Iran’s nuclear program, in return for which the US will consider reducing some economic sanctions imposed on Iran.

‘Iran will be attacked’

The US and Israel have been constantly threatening Iran over the nuclear deal. The US has clearly stated that if there is no agreement with Iran, Iran will be attacked, which will be led by Israel. However, Iran has always said that its nuclear program is for peaceful and civil purposes and not to make weapons. (AP)
