Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia on Wednesday increased the pressure on the interim government of the country led by Mohammad Yunus. BNP leaders rained on Yunus government
Tariq alleged that the government’s “delay strategy” and “so -called reforms” in holding elections are part of the comprehensive plan to derail democratic processes. Rahman said, “All acting governments in the past have conducted fair elections within 3 months. Today it has been more than 10 months since and yet the government has not announced the election date. ”
BNP supporters raging on Yunus government
Thousands of youth attended the Bangladesh Nationalist Party rally. The rally also performed power against Younus’s indirect support, a power demonstration against the National Citizen Party (NCP) led by students. The NCP was formed last year by violent protests led by students under the stage named Students Against Description (SAD). NCP, emphasizes that elections should not be held until the major improvements are met.

‘There is no scope for delay in election’
Senior BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmood Chaudhary said at the party’s youth rally that there is no scope for delay in the demand for reforms. He said that even if there is no consensus on issues of reforms in political parties, as is being publicized, the next elected government will pursue necessary reforms. He said, “If the justice process remains incomplete, BNP will take responsibility to fulfill it.”
‘Yunus government gave nothing but neglect’
Mirza Abbas, another senior leader of BNP, said, “(Interim) Government gave us nothing but neglect in the last 9 months. I want to say one thing- most of this government (advisory/officer) is not even citizens of this country. They are talking about doing many things today.
