An army constable was martyred in the encounter. White Knight Corps and LG Manoj Sinha paid tribute to the martyr Havildar Jhanu Ali Sheikh of Rank 6 PARA SF on X. He wrote – During the firing in the encounter, one of our brave injuries suffered serious injuries and later died at the time of treatment. The encounter operation is still going on.
On the other hand, Bandipura police in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested Lashkar-e-Taiba’s four over ground worker (OGW). Police said they had received information that some OGW police and non-local people associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba were looking for an opportunity to attack.
Bandipora police started a search operation and laid siege at various places in the district. Mohammad Rafiq Khande and Mukhtar Ahmed Dar were caught during Naka checking. During the search, illegal weapon ammunition was recovered from them, including Chinese hand grenade 02, 7.62 mm magazine 01 and 30 rounds of 7.62mm.
