IPL 2025: Phil Soult broke Chris Gayle’s record, history created by taking RCB to final
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opening batsman Philip Solt (May 29) on Thursday (May 29) made a furore with his stormy batting in the first qualifier match of IPL 2025 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Maharaja Yadavindra International Cricket Stadium in Mullampur.
Salt scored an unbeaten 56 in 27 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. During this innings, he also completed his 1000 runs in the IPL.
In this match, RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. With this, RCB has made it to the final of the IPL for the fourth time. After receiving the first batting, Punjab Kings scored 101 runs in 14.1 overs. In which Marcus Stoinis scored 26 runs. Eight players of the team could not reach the double figures. In response, RCB won by losing 2 wickets in 10 overs.

Salt has held the record of scoring the fastest half -century for RCB in the IPL playoffs, he did this in 23 balls. He broke Chris Gayle’s record, who scored a half -century in 25 balls in the playoff match of IPL 2016.

According to the balls, Salt has jointly reached second in terms of fastest 1000 runs in the IPL. By achieving this figure in 575 balls, he has equaled Travis Head. Andre Russell is number one in this list.
