100 business organizations including CTI called for Delhi shutdown on Friday – Cross Talk India
Pahalgam The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has called for a ‘bandh’ in Delhi on Friday to protest against the terror attack in Delhi. Earlier, on Thursday, business organizations took out a candle procession in Connaught Place to show solidarity towards the victims. According to CTI, more than 100 markets in the national capital are likely to be closed on his call. On Thursday, members of CTI and more than 100 business organizations tied a black band on Connaught Place and lodged their protest against the terrorist attack.
Traders are very angry among traders
CTI reported that traders of major markets like Kashmiri Gate, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Chavadi Bazar, Bhagirath Place, Rajouri Garden and Sarojini Nagar participated in this protest. Significantly, on Tuesday afternoon, terrorists opened fire in a tourist-filled area in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people lost their lives. CTI chairman Brijesh Goyal said that the business community is very sad from the incident and united to condemn the attack. CTI Vice President Rahul Adalkha said that traders are very angry about this incident.
These markets will remain closed
According to the statement, major markets supporting Friday’s bandh include Sadar Bazar, Bhagirath Place, Gandhinagar, Naya Bazar, Khari Bawli, Chavadi Bazar, Hindustan Merkentail (Chandni Chowk), Jama Masjid and Hauz Qazi. In addition, various merchant organizations of textiles, spices, utensils and bullion markets will also participate in this bandh. The CTI has urged the merchant community to celebrate the bandh peacefully and show solidarity against terrorism. In protest against the killing of citizens in Pahalgam, the political and business groups of the entire country have also come out on the streets.
