Kabir said on Parveen Babi’s mental state
Recalling his ex -girlfriend Parveen Babi, Kabir Bedi said, “Parveen never accepted her mental illness. She was at the peak of her career and she feared that her stardom would end if the truth came out.”
He said that during the shooting of Amar Akbar Anthony, Mahesh Bhatt was closely experienced by Parveen’s position.
Open marriage and truth of personal relations
Kabir Bedi also spoke openly on his personal relations. “Many times I was negligent in women’s elections, but all my deep relationships were not one night stand. I have taken responsibility for each of my decisions,” he said. This statement also indicates about him and Protima Bedi’s open marriage.
Son Siddharth’s death and relationship with daughter Pooja
He described the death of his son Siddharth as the biggest shock of life. “Protima and I found two beautiful children like Pooja and Siddharth. There were many ups and downs in the relationship with Pooja, some misunderstandings, but now she has made her voice and identity and I respect her” she said.
Deep association with Osho’s ideology
Talking about his spiritual thinking, Kabir said- “I felt very associated with Osho’s ideology. Vinod Khanna introduced me to him. I never liked the belief that it is necessary to wear white choga to become a follower of Osho.”
Memorable journey with Rekha, Dimple, Zeenat and Parveen
Talking about her career, Kabir Bedi said, “To record, Rekha, Dimple, Zeenat, Parveen – all were strong women in their place. Shooting of ‘Khoon Bhari demand’ with Rekha was special. I was shooting for ‘Magnum Pi’ in Hawaii at the time when Rakesh Roshan offered the film on the phone.”
