20 killed in Korona, 3207 active cases in the country
The number of active cases of Corona virus has reached 3207 across the country. Kerala has the highest number of 1147 cases. Maharashtra is second in terms of active cases. On Friday, 84 new cases came up in the state, now there are 681 patients. 60 percent of the country’s active cases are in these two states.
The number of people who lost their lives from Corona has reached 20. Maharashtra has the maximum 6 deaths in Maharashtra. A 63 -year -old man died on Friday in Mysore, Karnataka. This is the third death from Corona in the state.
Apart from this, a total of 13 patients have died in Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The Health Department also confirmed one death each in Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab and Tamil Nadu on 31 May.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has issued a new circular in view of the increasing corona cases in the state. In this, the parents have appealed that if children have symptoms like cold, cough, fever or kovid, do not send them to school.
Kovid’s first case found in Mizoram after 7 months
Kovid-19 has been confirmed in 2 people in Mizoram. Health department officials said that Kovid’s cases were found 7 months after the last such case came to light in the state. The last case of Kovid-19 in Mizoram came to light in October 2024, during which 73 people in the state were infected with the virus.
He informed that patients are being treated at Zorma Medical College and Hospital (ZMCH) in Falkon near Aizawl. Integrated Disease Monitoring Program (IDSP) of the state health department has asked people not to panic.
The IDSP has advised people to follow the Kovid protocol, wash regular hand washing, use hand sanitizer and not go into crowded areas.
More than 9 thousand covid tests in Maharashtra
The Maharashtra government said that 84 new cases of Kovid were reported on Friday. While a total of 681 cases have been received in Mumbai since January 2025. Since January, 9592 Kovid-19 Tests have been conducted in the state.
At the same time, two cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Both patients are residents of Kerala and are studying at Government Dental College, Srinagar.
