CSK: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) performed in IPL 2025 (IPL 2025). The team was at the bottom of the points table and was out long before the playoff race. After poor performance, the Chennai Super Kings team is now preparing for major changes.

Before IPL 2026 (IPL 2026), the team can release seven players, while two senior players are also seen hanging the sword.

These 7 players will be released from CSK before IPL 2026, sword hanging on Dubey-Jadeja too

These two players could not show explosive style

New Zealand’s Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra also performed average. Conway scored 156 runs in 6 matches. While Rachin scored only 191 runs in 8 matches and failed to play a single big innings. He could not give up the impact despite continuous opportunities in the opening slot.

The team made veteran spinner R Ashwin part of the team for Rs 9.75 crore, but their performance faded extremely. Ashwin took only 7 wickets in 9 matches and neither managed to take wickets, nor proved to be effective in powerplay or death overs.

Vijay Shankar was bought by CSK for Rs 1.20 crore. He scored 118 runs in 6 matches and could score a single half -century. Shankar was brought to bring stability to the middle order, but he could not live up to expectations.

Tripathi, Hooda, Sam Karan’s flop show

Rahul Tripathi was bought by the franchise for Rs 3.40 crore. He scored only 55 runs in 5 matches, with his best score 23 runs. His exit from CSK is considered to be almost fixed due to frequent flop performance.

Deepak Hooda played 7 matches for Chennai this season and scored just 31 runs. His best score was 22 runs, that is, he scored just 9 runs in the remaining 6 innings. The release of Hooda, which is constantly struggling with poor form, is believed to be fixed.

Sam Karan was fielded by Chennai as an all -rounder, but he scored only 114 runs in 5 matches and took just 1 wicket with the ball. His average was 22.80 and the strike rate was 135.71, which was not in accordance with his price and expectations.

Rabindra Jadeja and Dubey also hanged sword

The team’s two all -rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dubey also have a sword, Jadeja scored 301 runs in 14 matches and took 10 wickets, while Shivam Dubey scored just 357 runs in 14 innings of 14 matches, including the only half -century.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) performance in IPL 2025 was very disappointing, which led to the team out of the playoffs. Seven players are expected to be released due to poor form, while senior players like Jadeja and Dubey are also under threat.
