Kamal Haasan has been engulfed in controversies regarding the comments made about Kannada language. The displeasure of the people of the Kannada community is being seen against the actor. Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court has also reprimanded the superstar due to the controversial remarks made about the Kannada language. The court said to Kamal Haasan- ‘Of course you will be Kamal Haasan, but you have no right to hurt someone’s feelings.’ Meanwhile, the actor has also taken a strict decision on ‘Thug Life’. The actor says that his film ‘Thug Life’ will not be released in Karnataka at the moment.

Kamal Haasan filed a petition in Karnataka High Court

In fact, Kamal Haasan, who got involved in the language dispute, had filed a petition in the High Court demanding security for the film’s release in Karnataka. The High Court said during the hearing that as a public personality, Kamal Haasan should avoid making such statements that hurt someone’s feelings. Recently, during the film’s audio release in Chennai, Kamal Haasan said that Kannada language has come out of Tamil language.

Controversy over Kamal Haasan’s statement on Kannada language

His statement made during the promotion of thug life was strongly opposed by pro -Kannada organizations in Karnataka and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Kannada organizations demanded that the film should not be released in Karnataka. The film’s production company Rajkamal Films filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court demanding the release of the film with police security. During the hearing of the case today, the High Court also commented on Kamal Haasan’s statement and said that he is neither a historian nor a language expert, so he should avoid such comments and when the people of Karnataka are asking him to apologize, what is the problem in apologizing.

Kamal Haasan did not apologize

Kamal Haasan’s lawyer in the High Court said that Kamal Haasan has responded to the letter received from the film Chambers demanding an apology. The court also read that letter and said that in this letter he has given clarification, but has not said to apologize. On this, Kamal Haasan’s lawyer said that he does not want to release the film in Karnataka yet, he will take a decision on this after talking to the film Chambers. After which the court postponed the case till June 10. Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam will be released worldwide on 5 June.
