Washington: The administration, headed by US President Donald Trump, has said that it will withdraw the guidelines for allowing the hospitals to abort women in an emergency. This guideline was issued to hospitals in 2022 when the US Supreme Court abolished the national abortion rights in the US.

The guidelines were issued by the former US President Joe Biden’s administration to allow abortion in serious cases in which it is necessary to protect women from medical emergency. The Trump administration said on Tuesday that it will no longer implement this policy of the Biden government.

Doctors expressed concern

Some doctors and abortion rights supporters have expressed concern after this announcement. The concern is that women will no longer be able to get abortion in emergency in those states where this ban will be strictly applicable. Nancy Northup, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ‘Center for Reproductive Rights’, said in a statement, “The tramp administration wants women to die in emergency rooms instead of getting life -saving abortion.”

Who supported Trump administration

On the other hand, anti -abortion organizations have supported the Trump administration. SBA Pro Life America President Marjori Danenfelsar said the Biden administration was using this law to increase abortion in states where it is banned. (AP)
